Bee Conservation – Reforestation – Education Honey bees are in great decline everywhere around the world, we are making an effort to conserve bee species. We therefore capture urban bee swarms in the Maltese Islands for redirection into the wild. Through this approach numerous bee colonies have already been saved from destruction. In Malta, the construction boom had caused a lack of natural afforested areas. This means that even wild bee populations are struggling to survive due to general drought and lack of foraging space. These populations are thus a rarity and will continue to decline. We are working to change that through bee friendly afforestation initiatives. We also work closely with Garland Malta company so that any unprotected trees can be relocated safely from construction sites.
