Suitable for volunteers with the following challenges

Typical responsibilities:

Conduct monthly anonymous HIV, Syphilis, Hep B and Hep C testing in Malta
Conducting a questionnaire about our clients’ recent sexual history, and carrying out tests accordingly

Desirable skills:

All community testers will undergo a training session.
The programme is led by health care professionals and therapists.
After training, you will observe one or more sessions, after which you will be observed yourself carrying out a session.
Following this, if you and your observer are happy, you will be certified as a Checkpoint Malta tester! Ideally, people who aren’t squeamish with blood are ideal for this.
No medical experience is necessary but it is considered an asset.
