Typical responsibilities:
Helping with the preparation, maintenance and installation of traditional street decorations
Assisting our experienced members with general hands-on work
Organising and preparing materials
Decorating streets and community areas and helping during activities organised throughout the year
Volunteers may also assist with setting up and dismantling decorations before and after the feast, light maintenance and restoration work, preparation of traditional decorations, and general logistical support.
Desirable skills:
No previous experience is required.
About the Voluntary Organisation:
Ghaqda Armar Madonna Tal-Hniena Bir Id-Deheb Zejtun
The main objective of the Organization is to take care of the setting up especially street decoration with traditional festive decorations for the feast of the Our Lady of Sorrow community village feast happening in mid-September Ghaqda Armar Madonna Tal-Hniena Bir I-Deheb, with its activities and initiatives, helps in the cultural and artistic development of Zejtun and the country in general. Apart from the feast, our Voluntary organisation takes part in the village activities and liturgical events.
