Typical responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in the planning and organisation of fundraising events such as BBQs, takeaways and other community activities
  • Help promote events through word of mouth, social media and direct outreach to encourage community participation
  • Support with event setup, including preparing tables, packaging food items, handling supplies, and arranging collection points
  • Assist during the event with tasks such as greeting attendees, handing out orders, collecting donations, and maintaining a clean and organised space
  • Work closely with other volunteers and committee members to ensure events run smoothly and effectively
  • Help with clean-up, storing materials, and providing feedback to improve future events

About the Voluntary Organisation:

The organization was founded in 2003 after several discussions and meetings regarding the need for a committee to coordinate, throughout the year, everything related primarily to the external religious festivities of Marija Bambina, celebrated in the village of Xagħra. The organization is voluntary and works exclusively for the festivities held in the village of Xagħra without any profit motive.
