Typical responsibilities:
– Welcoming and greeting visitors, patients, families and professionals.
– Answering and directing telephone calls.
– Responding to and forwarding emails as required.
– Directing enquiries to the appropriate person.
– Assisting the reception team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
– Receiving deliveries and handling incoming/outgoing mail.
– Maintaining a tidy, welcoming reception area.
– Recording information accurately and updating simple records when required.
– Supporting staff with general office duties as needed.
– Following Hospice Malta procedures, policies and confidentiality requirements (full training provided).
Desirable skills:
– Friendly, approachable and enjoys meeting people.
– Comfortable working in a sensitive palliative care environment.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
– A positive attitude and welcoming presence.
– Able to work well as part of a team.
– Willingness to learn and follow guidance.
– Basic computer skills (e.g. email and simple data entry).
– Reliable, committed and dependable.
– Respectful, compassionate and able to maintain confidentiality.

Hospice Malta
Hospice Malta is a voluntary organisation inspired by Christian values.
It exists to provide and promote the highest standards of Palliative care for persons with cancer, motor neuron disease, end of life respiratory, cardiac, renal and liver disease.
It also aims to help and support their families.
