Typical responsibilities:

  • Helping to organise, facilitate and market events
  • Supporting community-building initiatives
  • Assisting with outreach activities
  • Taking part in Freshers’ Days, Open Days, and fairs
  • Helping organise Pride and Pride Village
  • Contributing to awareness campaigns and training materials
  • Gaining experience in identifying and applying for funding
  • Building bridges between LGBTI+ Gozo, civil society, and partner organisations
  • Participating in meetings, consultations, networking, social and team-building events

Desirable skills:

  • Volunteers need to be based in Gozo
  • Accounting, social media, organisation, fundraising, grant application, & people skills are an asset but not essential

About the Voluntary Organisation:

LGBTI+ Gozo

LGBTI+ Gozo is a human rights organisation, established with a mission to support LGBTI individuals on the island of Gozo, and ensure that their voice does matter. It aims to monitor, report and act on access to services on the island of Gozo. It works to promote a society where all persons through diverse identities are able to access and enjoy all services on the island. The organisation ensures that the paradigm that is Gozo is present through the mainstreaming of policy and marginalised individuals are being empowered. To do so, LGBTI+ Gozo collaborates with civil society, government entities and educational institutions. LGBTI+ Gozo organises a number of social events, educational campaigns and services to youths, adults, parents of LGBTI individuals and community leaders.
