Typical responsibilities:
| – Assist with creating and maintaining a digital and/or physical catalogue of all costumes (including photos, descriptions, sizes, and condition). – Label and organize costumes by type, size, or production. – Check garments for damage, needed repairs, or cleaning after use. – Support with basic sewing, mending, or alterations (if skilled). – Maintain costume storage areas in an orderly, clean, and accessible manner. – Prepare costumes for hiring by third party production companies. – Assist in sourcing, borrowing, or returning costumes when required. – Work closely with directors, stage managers, and performers to meet production needs. |
Desirable skills:
– Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Basic computer skills (for cataloguing and database entry).
– Interest in theatre, costumes, or fashion.
– Ability to handle garments with care.
– Teamwork and communication skills.
– (Optional but useful: sewing or tailoring skills, knowledge of fabrics and costume care.)

Teatru Salesjan
Teatru Salesjan is a community theatre located in Sliema, Malta. It’s part of the Salesian community, which is a Roman Catholic religious order founded by Saint John Bosco. The theatre is not only a space for performing arts but also a hub for cultural and community events. Given its connection to the Salesian order, it often promotes values of education, youth development, and community engagement.
