Typical responsibilities:

• Learn first aid and other lifesaving skills
• Learn soft skills and general office / management skills as the volunteers will be asked to help in projects and support the administration
• Learn team building skills
• Learn new generic skills eg: doing maintenance
• Learn public speaking skills as they will help in the organisation of the weekly meetings for the junior cadets
• Provides a sense of active citizenship and a sense of community
• Improves self esteem and social skills
• Provides job prospectus, as training provided in case of first aid is rated as a level 3 award on the MQF

Desirable skills:

  • willing to learn
  • basic knowledge of English language as some of our volunteers are foreigners and can’t communicate in Maltese

Malta Cadets Corps is an active organisation that always welcomes new volunteers. The more people know how to help the other person in need the safer for all of us. Our instructors are full of passion for sharing the knowledge about first aid and helping in general.
