What is Voluntiera Malta?
Voluntiera Malta is a flexible, low commitment programme that supports people to volunteer at one-off events across Malta and Gozo.
The aim of Voluntiera Malta is to mobilise and support active citizens and build a large network of people from all corners of society who are interested in contributing to events in the areas of culture, environment, social issues, animal welfare, sports, and more.
How it works
Application
Anyone interested in joining Voluntiera Malta is required to apply here.
Introduction meeting
You will attend an online meeting hosted by our Voluntiera Malta programme manager. Here, they will share programme details and answer any questions you may have.
Police conductÂ
The final stage of registration requires you to email us your police conduct record. You can apply for this record via Kondotti.gov.mt or in person at the police headquarters in Floriana. Â
Calls for volunteers
Once registered, you will receive calls for volunteers by email. The emails will contain a link to a Google Form where you can find all the information you need about each event, and apply if it interests you.
Training
Prior to the event you’ve signed up for, you will be trained or briefed by the organisers of the events. This can either happen right before your shift or a few days prior.
